A Seat at the Table: Advocating for the Whole Community
Our conversation will highlight diversity within the LGBT+ community, and promote allyship across the spectrum. While there has been progress in advocacy for the LGBT+ community as a whole, there are still marginalized groups within the broader cohort of LGBT+ people, and we can all benefit from understanding the issues each faces as well as how to begin tackling them in the workplace. We will discuss topics related to the transgender, gender non-conforming, and cross-generational communities, and highlight the work of organizations that tackle these issues head on.
Following the panel presentation, attendees are invited to participate in curated round table discussions to strategize and develop steps for lasting change.
